Steps Taken for Prevention of Ragging

Ragging or harassment, in any form — physical or mental — is strictly prohibited in the institution, and anyone found to have indulged in such practices is liable to appropriate punishment.

Ragging Is Defined As

  • Forcing a student to perform any action against his/her will.
  • Physical violence of any kind against the student and/or intimidation.

Ragging is a cognizable offence under the State Act.

Complaint Process

  • 1 A written complaint has to be lodged with the Principal of the college.
  • 2 The complaint is placed before the Disciplinary Action Committee for investigation.
  • 3 The committee provides a suitable recommendation for action.
